CHARLOTTE, NC – Arlene Laverne Kintner, 89, died December 28, 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was born August 9, 1932 at Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest John, Sr. and Ella Janet (Hoover) Hay.  She retired as the Librarian and Dodge City High School.  She attended The Cove Church in Mooresville, North Carolina.

On March 30, 1958 she married William "Bill" F. Kintner.  He preceded her in death on November 12, 2005.

Survivors include: her son, John Kintner and wife Olga, Charlotte; 5 grandsons, Bryant Kintner, Dodge City, Andrew Kintner, Dallas, Texas, Dylan Kintner, Kansas City, Missouri, Jose Zapata, Warsaw, Poland and Mason Ennis, Charlotte; and 3 great granddaughters, Shyanne & Brielle, Dodge City and Roxella, Wichita.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ernest Hay, Jr.

Private family services and burial will take place.  There will be no public viewing.
