MINNEOLA – Dolores J. Beebe, 98, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at Minneola Long Term Care, Minneola, Kansas.

She was born November 19, 1924, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Bertha (Foutz) Strickland of Turpin, Oklahoma.  After graduating high school, she attended and graduated from Saint Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in 1941.

On June 20, 1948 she married Clair C. Beebe in Liberal. Clair was a farmer and carpenter in Minneola.

Dolores worked for 40 years at both the Fowler Hospital and Minneola District Hospital. She was a member of the Minneola United Methodist Church. She loved being a nurse and loved all those new babies.  Her greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren and attending all their activities as well as taking trips with Clair.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Marci Hansen and husband Tom, Kent, Washington and Dianna Beebe, Minneola, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie, Oregon and Brian, Seattle, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clair, 2 brothers Daniel and Don Strickland and a sister, Dortha Griepy.

Celebration of Life will be 10:30 am, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the 7 I Am  Church (former United Methodist Church), Minneola with Pastor Michael Perrotti officiating.  Burial will follow in Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola. There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of items being brought to the family, they suggest memorials be given to the Minneola Senior Center or Minneola Long Term Care both in care of Minnis Mortuary, 1901 N. 14 ^th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
