BLOOM, KANSAS – Douglas R. Clark, 66, died Monday, May 2, 2022 at his home in Bloom.

He was born June 18, 1955 at Dodge City, the son of Richard Eugene and Luecetra Jane (Adams) Clark.  He was a graduate of Minneola High School and a lifetime area resident.  He was a heavy equipment operator working for the county of Ford County and Max Jantz Excavating.

He married Carla Schmidt and they later divorced.

Survivors include: a brother, Robert Swonger and wife Lois, Bloom; a sister, Cheryl Plumb and husband Gary, Olathe, Kansas; 4 nieces and nephews, Rhonda Swonger, Ashland, Robyn Trussel and husband Jim, Ness City, Rusty Swonger and wife Stephanie, Minneola and Kent Plumb, Olathe; 10 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, John Robert Plumb.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 am Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Appleton Township Cemetery, south of Minneola, with Pastor Michael Perrotti officiating.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
