WRIGHT - Edward Phillipson, 74, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Minneola Long Term Care Unit.

He was born December 6, 1943 at Arkport, New York, the son of Theron and Saresa (Swan) Phillipson.  He served in the United States Army.  A Dodge City area resident since the 1990's, moving from Nebraska, he worked as a mechanic for Adams Feed Yard in Broken Bow, Nebraska, Kalvesta Implement and National Beef in Dodge City until retiring in 2009.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

On January 19, 2008 he married Nyla Kolbeck at Kearney, Nebraska.

Survivors include: his wife, Wright; a daughter, Saresa Phillipson, Nebraska; a son, Mark Phillipson, New York; 3 step-daughters, Rachel Baker and husband Larry Koehn, Dodge City, Amber Bogner and husband, Mark, Wright and Cheri Swope and husband Chris, Zenda, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tim Phillipson and his step-father.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
