Spearville – Evelyn Gertrude Demuth, 86, died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Hilltop House, Bucklin.

She was born November 26, 1929, at Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Marie (Huslig) Hageman. She was a longtime resident of Spearville. She enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, embroidering and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

On September 14, 1948, she married Donald Demuth at Fowler, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2010.

Other survivors include: 3 sons: Kenneth Demuth and wife Pam of Attica, Kansas; Timothy Demuth and wife Alice Elaine of Maple Hill, Kansas; Edward Demuth of Mitchell, Nebraska. 3 daughters: Janilla Ghafoori of Wentzville, Missouri; Regina Murray and husband Bill of Bucklin, Kansas; Loretta Knorr and husband Daniel of Olathe, Kansas; 2 sisters: Marie Dowell of Ulysses, Kansas; Eleanora Glenn of Quinter, Kansas: 14 grandchildren: 21 great grandchildren: and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; Viola Mages; 3 brothers; Herman, Victor, and Norbert Hageman.

Rosary will be 10:00 am on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Spearville with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Spearville.
