Laura Cheri (Deall) Martin was born Nov. 17, 1937 in Wisconsin. She graduated Phillips (WI) High School and subsequently moved to Milwaukee.
After moving to Phoenix AZ, she worked as an inspector for General Motors, supervising the manufacture of parts to be used in NASA's Apollo Space Missions.

It was in Phoenix that she met her husband C.A.(Bud) Martin. They were married Dec. 24, 1969 and she helped to raise Bud's two sons, William and Daniel.

Circumstances brought Laura and Bud to the Mullinville area when they came to care for Bud's parents in Greensburg and bought a house on Hwy 154 in Mullinville. They welcomed a daughter, Luralei, home in 1975.

Laura was a devoted mother and homemaker. She started her own housecleaning business in the late 1980's and cleaned for many people in Mullinville, Greensburg and Bucklin. She kept her successful business going for nearly 20 years.

Laura and Bud celebrated 40 years of marriage together at his passing in 2009.

Laura will be remembered with love as a mother, friend and neighbor. She passed away April 10, 2019.
