Lloyd "Sonny" Hale's Obituary
MINNEOLA – Lloyd "Sonny" Hale, 88, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Minneola Nursing Home.
He was born November 1, 1927 at Bloom, Kansas, the son of Glen and Dorothy (Evans) Hale. He was a lifetime area resident and a 1946 graduate of Bloom High School. He worked on dude ranches and farmed as well as pipeline construction for many years.
On September 5, 2008 he married Betty Lucille Gilbert Collins at Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Brad Hale, New Zealand; a sister, Donna Jean Dickson and husband Leroy, Clinton, Oklahoma; a niece, Latricia Lodes, Yukon, Oklahoma; and a nephew, Don Dickson, Golden, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial graveside services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Bloom Cemetery with Virgil White officiating. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
The family suggests memorials to the Minneola Nursing Home in care of Minnis Mortuary, P.O. Box 459, Minneola, Kansas 67865.
