MINNEOLA - L.L. "Mac" McInteer departed this earthy world on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, while doing one of the things he loved most, playing golf with buddies.

He was born  on December 23, 1947 and raised in Minneola, Kansas.  He was a proud member and a valued part of the community.  He never knew a stranger.  Mac was a friend to all and a helper until his last day.  The world will miss his smile, his sense of humor (and somewhat awful jokes), and his unconditional love for his family and friends.  The people of Minneola will miss his wave and morning greeting on his daily walk around town.

On February 8, 1969 he married Carolyn Gardner in Manhattan, Kansas.

Survivors include  his wife, Carolyn, Minneola; his 2 daughters; Kelly Harrick and husband Scott, Overland Park and Kaela Morgan and husband Doug, Shawnee, Kansas;  6 grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Abbie, John, Matt and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Juanita (Young) McInteer and a brother, Dennis.

A Red Solo Cup Celebration of Life will be held June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at the New City Park on south Poplar Street in Minneola.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.  A private family graveside will be held.
