MINNEOLA – Mary "Bartennia" O'Dell, 77, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Minneola Long Term Care Facility.

She was born February 19, 1939 at Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Roy V. and Janie Mae (Hinkle) Barnett. Mary and her husband owned and operated 3 grocery stores and 2 other businesses.

On July 1, 1955 she married Ronald N. O'Dell at Pampa Texas. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: her son, Richard Anthony O'Dell, Garden City, Kansas; daughter, Kim Ewing and husband Craig, Meade, Kansas; brother, Bill Barnett and wife Sue, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Charles Ewing, Lawrence, Kansas, Amy Ewing, Ulysses, Kansas and Brandie O'Dell, Garden City; great-granddaughter, Kiley O'Dell, Garden City; 11 adopted grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven O'Dell; sister, Joyce Pedigo and her husband Neil; and a niece and nephew.

Funeral will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Minneola Long Term Care. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in the Lakin Cemetery, Lakin, Kansas, with Pastor Chris McFadden officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola.
