FORD – Max L. Hensley, 86, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Hill Top House in Bucklin.

He was born July 19, 1935 on the family farm near Ford, the son of Garrett Roy and Ida I. (Ireland) Hensley.  He was a 1953 graduate of Ford High School and was a lifetime Ford area resident.  As well as farming and custom harvesting with his brother Roy, he was a truck driver for 41 years, working for Daubert Trucking, Garvey Grain, Isaac Trucking, and Hilker Trucking.

He was a member of the Ford Community Church.

On June 6, 1959 he married Helen J. Brock at Bucklin.  She preceded him in death on March 2, 2006.

Survivors include: 4 children, Teresa Stuart and husband Jim, Wichita, Justin Hensley and wife Angalea, Wichita, Jack Hensley and companion, Sara Hipsher, DeSoto, Kansas and Sean Hensley and wife Kristi, Berthoud, Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Hensley, Albuquerque, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Morgan Konrade and husband Kirk, Beau Stuart, Aimee Stuart and fiancé Nathan Pledger, Melissa Jo Hensley, William "Billy" Hensley, Aaron Hensley and wife Amanda, Garrett Lee Hensley and fiancée Christy Porkorny, Neil Wayne Hensley, Sydney Leeper, Jacob Hensley and Austyn Hensley; 17 great grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Stephenson, Ford; and a sister-in-law, Donna Hensley, Ford.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Joel Hensley, 3 brothers, Charles, Roy and Orvis Hensley and 2 sisters, Dorlene Nolder and Alma Kirk.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Ford Community Church with Scott Tilley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ford Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to service time Friday at the church.
