MINNEOLA – Thomas Allen Hoffman, 62, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Minneola.
He was born October 30, 1954 at Ashland, the son of Bert and Dorothy (Breit) Hoffman. He was a lifetime area resident and received his Bachelors in Business from Ft. Hays State University. He was a driver for UPS for over 32 years, retiring in 2013.
He enjoyed golfing, telling jokes and always had a witty phrase to say.
On April 15, 1978 he married Becky Bisel at Ashland. She preceded him in death on October 9, 1996. On July 24, 1999 he married Lisa Maria Vrtiska at Minneola. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2015.
Survivors include: his 2 daughters, Amber O'Hanlon and husband Dustin, Elwood, Nebraska and Tiffany Norton and husband Will, Minneola; 6 grandchildren, Carley, Cole and Brody Norton and Brennan, Breckynne and Hadley O'Hanlon; and many nephews and nieces.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gary Hoffman on January 3, 2015.
Memorial graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Highland Cemetery, Ashland, with Rev. Kip Ryherd officiating. A cookie and tea social will follow the graveside from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Minneola United Methodist Church. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
The family suggests memorials to the Hoffman Grandchildren Education Fund or the Minneola District Hospital both in care of Minnis Mortuary, P.O. Box 459, Minneola, Kansas 67865.
